La Montina's Franciacorta Satèn is a sophisticated sparkling wine made entirely from Chardonnay grapes sourced from some of the oldest vineyards near Lake Iseo. The favourable microclimate of this location ensures optimal ripening and aromatic complexity. In the glass, it shows a soft, creamy mousse with a delicate and refined perlage, and a straw yellow colour that can vary subtly from one vintage to another.
The bouquet is rich and layered, with notes of fresh fruit, acacia and lime blossom. Part of the fermentation takes place in lightly toasted barriques, which gives the wine extra finesse, elegance and subtle vanilla notes. On the palate, Satèn stands out for its silky texture and harmonious balance between freshness and roundness.
Having matured for a minimum of 28 months on the yeasts and with a dosage of 6 grams per litre, this Satèn is ideal with delicate starters, refined fish dishes and white meat. Served at 7°C, it shows its full, elegant character and is a perfect choice for those looking for a soft, expressive Franciacorta with a luxurious mouthfeel.
