This Riesling trocken 2023 from Weingut Gindorf is a pure, energetic Mosel Riesling that perfectly shows how tight yet ripe dry can be. The wine is made from 100% Riesling and ferments entirely in stainless steel tanks, fully preserving the fruit, freshness and typical slate minerality. In the glass, it shows brilliant brightness with straw yellow highlights, a first impression of precision and elegance.
On the palate, the wine shows beautiful ripeness, combined with lively tension. Yellow fruit takes centre stage, with notes of melon and pear, supported by fine spiciness and a delicate mineral undertone. The acids are fresh but perfectly integrated, giving the wine a juicy and harmonious feel without becoming sharp. This balance makes the wine accessible, but certainly not easy.
With its low residual sugar and high natural acidity, this Riesling is dry in style but rich in flavour. This makes it particularly versatile at the table and wonderfully drinkable. A classic Moselle Riesling in modern form: fresh, mineral and elegant, with pure drinking pleasure as the end goal.
