Gamaret Valle d'Aosta DOC is a mountain wine with a distinct character. Originally from Switzerland, this grape has found a new home in the Aosta Valley. Here, among steep slopes and fresh mountain air, Gamaret develops a unique identity. What is often used locally as a blend component is given a leading role in this interpretation, proving that it can also shine solo as a powerful red wine with depth and elegance.
Made from 100% Gamaret, the wine is fully aged in wood - both large and small French oak barrels - to enhance its aromatic complexity. The vineyards, located in Gressan and Morgex, benefit from north- and south-facing exposition, which contributes to balance and concentration. Thanks to its firm structure, intense colour and clear tannins, this wine possesses not only power but also impressive ageing potential.
In the glass, Gamaret shows deep ruby red. The nose reveals unexpected, layered aromas that go beyond classic mountain wines. On the palate, it is structured and energetic, with powerful but refined tannins and a long finish. A wine that surprises with its intensity and finesse, pairing perfectly with game dishes, grilled red meat or aged cheeses.
