Impasse - Valle d'Aosta DOC is a powerful red wine with pronounced ageing potential and one of the estate's flagship wines. Combining international allure with local identity, this cuvée reflects the open outlook of the Aosta Valley. The coming together of different grape varieties creates a wine with both structure and finesse, interpreting the mountain terroir in a contemporary way.
The blend consists of Merlot, Petit Rouge and Fumin, sourced from vineyards in Charvensod and Gressan with north- and south-facing exposition. The wine is aged in small French oak barrels, providing depth, complexity and refined wood tones. With an alcohol content of 14.5% and a yield of 50 hl/ha, Impasse shows power, but always balanced with freshness and elegance.
In the glass, it presents itself intense and concentrated. In the nose, ripe dark fruits come together with spicy nuances and subtle wood influences. On the palate, it is structured and full-bodied, with firm but well-integrated tannins and a long finish. A mountain wine with international flair, perfect with game dishes, grilled red meat and mature cheeses, and with a storage potential of more than a decade.
