Villa Safranier's AOP Côtes du Rhône Blanc is a fresh and elegant white wine that perfectly reflects the sunny character of the Southern Rhône. Sourced from deep clay-limestone soils with rounded limestone pebbles, this wine combines tradition with refinement. The blend of 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Clairette creates a harmonious balance of fruit, freshness and subtle minerality.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully vinified in oak barrels, followed by ageing on the lie with regular bâtonnage. This gives the wine extra depth and a soft, round structure. In the glass, it shows a bright golden-green colour. The nose is refined and aromatic, with notes of yellow flowers, anise and candied citrus, complemented by a surprising hint of red fruit and a slight minerality.
On the palate, the wine is rich but elegant, with a nice balance between roundness and freshness. The slight minerality adds tension and length, making this wine both appealing young and allowing it to continue to develop for several years. A versatile and characterful white Rhone that can be used both as an aperitif and gastronomically.
