Villa Safranier's AOP Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge is a powerful and elegant expression of one of the South Rhone's most iconic appellations. Sourced from deep clay-limestone soils dotted with characteristic cobbles, this wine reflects the warmth and complexity of the terroir. Made from 100% Grenache, this cuvée guarantees richness, finesse and a distinct personality.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fully destemmed, followed by a traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is lightly filtered to preserve its pure character. In the glass, it shows a bright raspberry-red colour with purple reflections. The nose is intense and refined, with aromas of iris, peony, rose, mint, thyme and black pepper, complemented by subtle toasted notes.
On the palate, the wine is full and powerful, with an elegant structure and soft, ripe tannins that make for a round and long finish. Combining intensity with refinement, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers an impressive balance between power and suppleness - a wine that lends itself perfectly to gourmet moments and further aging.
