The Joseph47 is a personal tribute from Mimmo Vinci to his father Giuseppe, born in 1947, the man who instilled in him a love for the land and the vine. Made from 100% Gaglioppo on the limestone-rich clay soils of Cirò, the grapes are harvested by hand in the first week of September and gently pressed without maceration, straight into stainless steel tanks. After five months’ ageing in stainless steel, the wine is ready to enjoy – fresh and immediate – as a true reflection of the Calabrian terroir.
In the glass, the Joseph47 displays a delicate pink colour with coppery reflections. The nose is inviting and aromatic, with notes of small red berries, floral nuances and a fresh citrus note that reflects the wine’s Mediterranean freshness. On the palate, it is delicate and smooth, with a pleasant balance and a light, enjoyable finish that makes it exceptionally easy to drink.
The Joseph47 is a versatile wine for dining that pairs excellently with seafood, grilled fish, tuna tartare, soft cheeses and delicate cold meats. Its fresh fruitiness also makes it ideal as a summer aperitif or with light Mediterranean dishes.
