The Grauburgunder from Weingut Keber Kolling is creamy, elegant and versatile. Pinot Gris is a grape variety that shows its best side in the organic vineyards of Sommerloch: it has sufficient body and fullness, yet is never heavy or tiring. This is a dry Pinot Gris with character, whilst remaining pleasantly easy to drink.
In the glass, the Grauburgunder is clear and pale gold. The aroma is pleasant and complex: ripe pear and yellow apple, a hint of nut, and subtle notes of herbs and almonds. On the palate, it is dry and smooth, with a lovely creaminess, modest acidity and an elegant, lingering finish. Round and approachable without losing any of its tension.
A versatile table wine that pairs well with many dishes. It is excellent with pasta in a creamy sauce, poultry, mild cheeses, mushroom dishes or dishes with a light cream sauce. It is also a fine choice on its own before a meal. Serve at 10–12°C.
