Product description
Cantina Ongaresca’s Pinot Grigio is anything but an ordinary wine. The limestone soils of Monte Ongaresca, with their exceptional water-retention capacity and an optimal mix of stones, silt, clay and sand, give this grape variety a minerality and depth that you wouldn’t expect from an average Pinot Grigio. The wine is aged for 9 months in stainless steel tanks, allowing its own character to develop fully.
In the glass, the Pinot Grigio displays a clear, straw-yellow colour with green highlights. The nose is broad and pleasant, with aromas of apricot, banana, grapefruit and white flowers, complemented by a subtle mineral note that betrays the limestone soil. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, well-balanced and long-lasting, with a lovely texture and a lingering finish.
A versatile white wine that pairs excellently with light fish dishes, fresh cheeses, salads and light starters. Also an excellent choice as an aperitif. Serve at 8–10°C.
