The Umbria Grechetto IGT is an expressive white wine from the heart of Umbria, made from 85% Grechetto and 15% local white grapes from the Montefalco area. This wine is produced with care by manual harvesting in the coolest hours of the day, followed by gentle pressing of whole grape bunches. Controlled fermentation of the free-flowing juice in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature of 13-14Ā°C preserves the wine's fresh, fruity character. Aging on the fine groin in steel for three to four months adds structure and elegance.
In the glass, this wine presents itself bright lemon yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet opens with ripe yellow fruit such as peach and apricot, subtly supported by floral notes of hawthorn. On the palate, the wine is medium in body and acidity, with a pleasant, lingering finish that both invigorates and surprises. The Umbria Grechetto IGT is versatile at the table: it is ideal as an aperitif, but also comes into its own with seafood starters, light fish dishes or a savoury legume soup.
Served at a temperature of 8-10Ā°C, this wine shows its fresh charm and balance to the full. With a storage potential of around two years, it is an ideal choice for those looking for an approachable yet refined white wine with clear terroir expression.
