La Canetana's Pinot Noir 2024 is an elegant and refined red wine from Finca Avila, a small vineyard just a few kilometres from the coast. The sandy loamy soil with lots of stones and its sheltered location ensure optimal ripening and grapes with distinct character. Thanks to an early harvest, the grapes retain their fresh acidity and delicate fruit expression.
After manual harvest, the grapes undergo a 48-hour cold maceration, followed by slow fermentation at low temperature. The maceration lasts about two weeks in total, after which the wine is gently pressed. It is then aged for five months in concrete tanks, contributing to a pure and fruit-driven style. The wine is naturally stabilised and lightly filtered to preserve its finesse.
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a bright, light ruby colour. The nose is fresh and fruity, with cherries as dominant aromas. On the palate, the wine is light and elegant, with soft acidity, delicate fruitiness and a subtle minerality that adds tension. An accessible and refined Pinot Noir that excels in balance and drinkability.
