Requiebro Chardonnay proves that even a young Chardonnay can possess impressive depth without oak ageing. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards at 1,050 metres, this wine combines exuberant fruit expression with striking minerality. The cool nights and slow ripening give the wine its fresh character and natural balance.
After a long, cold maceration, the must ferments at a low temperature to preserve all the fresh aromas. The wine is then aged briefly on the fine lees, giving it extra body, creaminess and complexity without losing its lively style. The result is a Chardonnay in which fruit, structure and elegance complement each other perfectly.
In the glass, Requiebro Chardonnay sparkles with a light straw-yellow colour and green highlights. The nose opens with white flowers, tropical fruit and stone fruit, followed by subtle herbal notes of hay and mint. On the palate, the wine is rich and structured, with plenty of fruit, a creamy texture and a refined hint of bitterness that lends it length and an impressively long finish. A versatile accompaniment to fish, shellfish, rice dishes, pasta, poultry and Mediterranean cuisine.
