Requiebro Merlot is an elegant and silky-smooth red wine that showcases the refined side of Merlot. The grapes are grown at an altitude of 1,050 metres, where cool nights ensure slow ripening and a perfect balance between freshness, fruit and finesse. The result is a Merlot with a refined character and remarkable drinkability.
Following cold maceration and temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine is aged for 10 months in 500-litre French oak barrels. This subtle oak ageing adds extra depth and creaminess, without overpowering the fresh red fruit and elegant style of the grape.
In the glass, the wine displays a bright ruby-red colour. The nose opens with fresh red fruits such as strawberry and cherry, complemented by balsamic notes, white flowers and a hint of dried leaves and soft creaminess. On the palate, it is supple, velvety smooth and beautifully balanced, with ripe tannins and a long, harmonious finish that invites you to take the next sip. Delicious with white and red meat, poultry, rice dishes, semi-mature cheeses and Mediterranean dishes.
