The Weinhaus am Mauerberg's Spätburgunder is a powerful, aromatic and expressive red wine that impressively expresses the essence of badian viticulture. Thanks to its nine-month ageing in large oak barrels, this wine develops an elegant depth, with refined tannins, a velvety structure and a pronounced intensity.
In the glass, it presents itself with aromas of dark cherry and a subtle spiciness, including a hint of pepper. This Spätburgunder surprises with its lively tension between fruity roundness and spicy accents, making it a true masterpiece of balance and character.
Ideally paired with aromatic meat dishes such as game, lamb or meat fondue. This wine also comes into its own with casseroles, rich gratins and powerful cheeses. With an alcohol content of 13.5% and a storage potential of 6 to 8 years, it is perfect to enjoy now, or to open later at a special moment. Serve lightly at temperatures between 16 and 18 °C for the optimal taste experience.
