The Anima della Terra is a festive Moscato di Canelli DOCG from VIV Winery, located in San Marzano Oliveto in the Piedmontese hills at an elevation of 250 meters. The 100% Moscato Bianco is organically grown on heavy marine clay soils, with vines ranging from 8 to 28 years old that are tended by hand, without herbicides or chemical fertilizers. After a manual harvest at full ripeness, the grapes are pressed and fermented in pressurized stainless steel tanks (autoclaves) until an alcohol content of 5% is reached, after which fermentation is halted by cooling. The wine is lightly filtered and bottled under pressure to preserve its natural sparkling freshness.
In the glass, the Anima della Terra displays a bright, straw-yellow color. The nose is aromatic and exuberant, with delicate notes of chamomile, wildflower honey, and elderflower. On the palate, the wine is pleasantly sweet yet refreshing, thanks to a lovely aromatic balance and lively bubbles. This is the quintessential celebratory wine from Piedmont—light, approachable, and full of joy.
Anima della Terra is a versatile wine that pairs excellently with desserts such as fruit tarts, panettone, panna cotta, and biscotti. Soft, fresh cheeses like robiola and stracciatella are also ideal accompaniments, as are savory appetizers, charcuterie, and lightly spiced dishes.
