La Trava's Barolo DOCG is a majestic wine that expresses the essence of 100% nebbiolo. This king among wines is aged for no less than 50 months in large oak barrels, giving it impressive depth, structure and complexity. The result is a powerful red wine that reverently reflects its origins in the heart of the Langhe.
In the glass, the Barolo shows with a ruby red colour that subtly transitions into brick-coloured nuances - a sign of its maturation. The aroma is intense and layered, with notes of ripe fruit, dried herbs and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is full and rich, with firm but elegant tannins and an excellent balance between power and finesse. The long, lingering finish highlights its impressive character.
This Barolo is ideally suited to hearty dishes such as game, stew, truffle dishes and old, hard cheeses. Serve it at 16 to 18 °C and give it plenty of time to breathe: this way it unfolds its full richness and allows every sip to become a special experience.
