Product description
This Rotling 2023 is a cheerful, uncomplicated wine that is all about pure pleasure and drinkability. Made from Dornfelder and Müller-Thurgau, which are harvested, pressed and fermented together, Rotling is a traditional Moselle style that is slightly different from rosé. The wine is fully fermented in stainless steel tanks and deliberately retains a slightly off-dry character, making it extra accessible. With its low alcohol and fresh style, this is an ideal wine for sunny days.
In the glass, the Rotling shows a vibrant, slightly deeper rose hue. The nose is immediately inviting, with fresh aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries and red berries. On the palate, the wine is juicy and playful, with invigorating acidity that perfectly balances the slight residual sweetness. The finish is fresh and supple, making the wine effortlessly inviting the next sip. A nice tip: serve well-chilled and add some fresh or frozen strawberries for extra summer fun.
This Rotling is a real all-rounder: delicious as an aperitif, but also surprisingly versatile at the table. It pairs excellently with poultry, smoked salmon with horseradish or spicy hard cheeses, as well as being a hit at parties and informal occasions. A wine that shows that Mosel can be not only refined and mineral, but also playful and charming.
