Product description
Daphne is a characterful white mountain wine with pronounced ageing potential. Fully vinified in wood, this cuvée is aged for a year in small French oak barrels, providing structure, roundness and depth. Inspired by the local legend of Daphne, the wine takes its name from a rare, almost mythical plant that only grows on the hills around Gressan - a direct reference to its deep connection to the terroir.
The blend consists of Chardonnay and Petite Arvine, sourced from north-facing vineyards in Gressan. With an alcohol content of 13.5% and vines between 10 and 20 years old, Daphne combines power with finesse. Full wood vinification gives the wine a complex aromatic development and a distinct, structured style that distinguishes it from lighter mountain wines.
In the glass, Daphne shows itself intense and layered. In the nose, refined aromas develop with depth and tension. On the palate, it is full and round, with a long, elegant finish. This is not a simple drinker, but a wine with character and personality, perfect with rich fish dishes, creamy preparations or traditional mountain dishes like raclette. With a storage potential of more than a decade, Daphne is a unique, gourmet white wine with a distinctly alpine signature.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
