The Vintage "Les Leury" 2020 from Champagne Hautbois is an exclusive Blanc de Blancs champagne made from 100% Chardonnay. This special single plot cuvée comes from a small south-facing vineyard in Pévy, located in the Massif de Saint-Thierry. Old vines more than 30 years old and chalky soil create a champagne with impressive finesse, minerality and depth. The combination of the 2020 vintage and reserve wines from a solera system since 2015 gives extra complexity and character.
In the glass, the champagne shows a bright golden yellow colour with refined and lively bubbles. In the nose, elegant aromas of citrus, white stone fruit, brioche and subtle toasted notes open harmoniously. On the palate, the champagne presents itself sleek and refined, with a wonderful tension between fresh acidity, mineral elegance and creamy depth. The full vinification and maturation in oak barrels add structure and gourmet finesse, while the 36 months of aging on the groin ensure a refined mousse and long finish.
This Extra Brut champagne is an excellent companion to refined fish dishes, oysters, scallops and gourmet dishes with creamy sauces.
