Product description
The Grauburgunder ‘Skins’ is Enderle & Moll’s orange wine. The name says it all: the grapes have had extensive contact with the skins, which gives the wine its deeper colour, its body and its distinctive aromatic profile. This is Pinot Gris at its most distinctive and authentic.
Made without fining or filtration, the wine matures on its skins before being racked and left to mature further in neutral oak. In the glass, ‘Skins’ displays a warm amber-orange colour. The nose is nutty and slightly dried-floral, with notes of red berries, tobacco, mushrooms, a hint of bacon and a subtle core of stone fruit. On the palate, it is nutty and has a pleasant, ethereal spiciness, some blackcurrant notes, fine acidity and plenty of grip from soft tannins. Slightly smoky, with distinct power, a hint of nougat and a long, dry finish with coffee and chalky, salty notes. It improves with every passing day after opening.
A wine that feels right at home with dishes you would normally pair with a red wine. Think of grilled game, mature cheeses, spicy stews or Asian dishes. Serve at 13–15°C and allow it to breathe.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
