Roter Riesling Trocken 2024

The Roter Riesling Trocken 2024 is a rare and characterful wine that derives its strength from the unique grape from which it is made. This Roter Riesling is a natural mutation of the classic white Riesling and is characterized by its subtle pink berries. The grapes are carefully selected from our own vineyards, located on variegated marl soils, which give the wine a distinct minerality and depth. After destemming, the juice underwent a 24-hour cold maceration, followed by a slow, cooled spontaneous fermentation in 300- and 500-liter wooden barrels, in which the wine then matured for nine months.

 

The result is a powerful, layered wine with a lively structure and a refined balance between fruit and acidity. The Roter Riesling presents aromas of ripe peach, citrus, and a hint of spice, supported by a subtle touch of wood that gives the wine roundness and length. Its texture is full and elegant, with a lingering finish that combines freshness and complexity.

 

This wine is a versatile table companion that pairs well with refined dishes such as baked scallops, grilled chicken with lemon, or lightly spiced Asian dishes. Its aromatic power also comes into its own with dishes featuring mushrooms or soft brie. Serve the Roter Riesling Trocken 2024 slightly chilled to allow its expressive character to fully unfold.
