Domaine des Côtes Blanches' Sancerre Rosé is an elegant and refined rosé from the heart of the Loire Valley. This wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from vineyards aged between 35 and 55 years. The vines grow on a terroir composed of Kimmeridgian clay and flint (flint), soils known for their ability to produce wines with tension, minerality and aromatic finesse. Thanks to its location on sunny slopes between 200 and 280 metres above sea level, the wine develops a nice balance between freshness and ripe fruit.
In the vineyard, the estate works according to organic, biodynamic and regenerative farming principles, focusing on healthy soils and biodiversity. Pruning according to the Guyot-Poussard method, natural compost and careful vineyard management contribute to grapes of optimal quality. The cellar uses minimal intervention: the grapes are slowly pressed with a pneumatic press and no sulphur is added during vinification. The wine then ages for five months on the fine lie in stainless steel tanks, adding structure and aromatic complexity.
In the glass, this Sancerre Rosé presents itself with fresh aromas of strawberry, raspberry and red berries, complemented by subtle floral notes and a slight mineral touch. On the palate, the wine is lively and elegant, with fresh acidity and a refined, dry finish. This rosé is a versatile gourmet wine that pairs excellently with summer salads, grilled fish, light Mediterranean dishes and soft cheeses. Its fresh and elegant character also comes into its own beautifully as an aperitif or with light barbecue dishes.
