    Dutch wine: from local soil to your table

    Did you know that wine is actually made in the Netherlands? And not just a little. More and more winemakers in our own country are producing surprisingly good bottles. From crisp white wines to smooth reds: Dutch wine is on the rise.

    Red Dutch wine

    Red wine from the Netherlands? Absolutely. In the south of the country, but also in Gelderland, Limburg, and even Flevoland, grapes are grown that produce beautiful red wines. Think of grape varieties like Regent, Cabernet Cortis, and Pinot Noir. The red wines are often slightly lighter and fresher than their Southern European cousins, which makes them perfect for an aperitif or a dinner where you don’t want something too heavy.

    White Dutch wine

    The Netherlands excels in white wine. Thanks to the cool climate, the acidity remains fresh, making Dutch white wines vibrant and approachable. Popular grape varieties include Johanniter, Solaris, Souvignier Gris, and Auxerrois. Whether you're looking for a dry, fruity style or something aromatic and floral: there's plenty to discover.

    Which grapes are grown in the Netherlands?

More and more winemakers are also experimenting with classic varieties like Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. The results? Truly surprising.

    What about the shipping costs?

    Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery.
    All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.

    To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.

    The following shipping costs apply:

    • 6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
    • 12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs

    You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
