Product description
Labié - Valle d'Aosta Torrette Supérieur DOC is a characterful mountain wine deeply rooted in the terroir of the Aosta Valley. Sourced from old Petit Rouge vineyards around Gressan, Aosta and Charvensod, this wine reflects the strength and purity of its alpine origins. The name "Labié" refers to a local expression for something special - a wine that commands respect while inviting discovery.
Made from 70% Petit Rouge and 30% other authorised varieties, the wine matures for about 12 months in large and small French oak barrels. The combination of mountain climate, north- and south-facing vineyards and careful vinification creates depth and structure. In the glass, Labié shows intense ruby red. The nose opens with concentrated aromas of ripe red fruit, followed by subtle spicy notes and a slight wood influence that refines the whole.
On the palate, the wine is powerful and layered, with clear but elegant tannins and a long, structured finish. Its complexity and ageing potential - more than a decade - make this a serious mountain wine that goes perfectly with hearty dishes, game or mature cheeses. An authentic expression of Valle d'Aosta, where tradition and mountain character come together.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
