Naturides is the purest and most pristine expression of Domaine du Météore's meteorite terroir. This single plot wine comes from a plot on the plateau above the impressive meteorite crater. The poor, blue schist soil forces the roots to search deep for nourishment, resulting in low yields and a distinct mineral signature.
Made from 100% Syrah from an average of 25-year-old vines, the wine is vinified entirely naturally. The destemmed grapes undergo pigeage in stainless steel tanks, with no additives and no additional sulphites. Fermentation is done exclusively with indigenous (wild) yeasts and the wine is not filtered. Production is deliberately limited to just 2,400 bottles, underlining its exclusivity.
In the glass, Naturides shows deep black with violet reflections. The nose is intense and powerful, with aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and slate. On the palate, it is fresh but concentrated, with deep fruit notes and a lively structure. An uncompromising vin nature that translates the character of the schist soil and the unique meteorite landscape in its purest form.
