Weinreich's Weißburgunder & Chardonnay 2024 comes from vineyards around Bechtheim in Rheinhessen. Here, the grapes grow on soils of loess, loamy weathering and limestone marl, which provide structure and refined minerality. This cuvée brings together two classic grape varieties that complement each other perfectly in elegance and power.
From vineyard to cellar, care is taken to preserve the quality of the grapes. The juice ferments for several weeks with the grapes' natural yeasts, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden barrels. This is followed by aging on fine lie until bottling, which gives the wine extra depth and balance.
In the glass, the wine opens with a ripe and inviting aroma of honeydew melon. The combination of Weißburgunder and Chardonnay creates an elegant structure with fresh acidity and nice power on the palette. The cuvée continues to surprise with playful nuances and a refined finish, making it excellent at the table.
