The Le Prieuré des Moines - Mâcon Milly-Lamartine is an elegant white Burgundy that originates around the historic Château des Moines, a former priory of Cluny Abbey. Here, among rolling hills and chalky soils, a Chardonnay emerges that perfectly reflects the soul of the Mâconnais: refined, sunny and full of character.
The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from clay-limestone terroirs around Milly-Lamartine. After a careful harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by a precise vinification with maturation on fine lie. This process gives the wine its beautiful balance of freshness and roundness, while keeping the terroir central.
In the glass, it sparkles golden yellow, with an inviting nose of ripe yellow fruits such as peach, complemented by exotic notes of mango and passion fruit. Subtle floral nuances of acacia and broom add finesse. On the palate, it is juicy and full but elegant, with a long, spicy finish that reveals notes of spices and a hint of liquorice.
