The Müller-Thurgau "Pur" 2022 from Enderle & Moll is a refined and characterful white wine with a subtle, understated style. On the nose, the wine displays aromas of yellow fruit and white stone fruit, complemented by delicate floral, herbal and slightly smoky notes. A hint of nutmeg adds an extra layer of aromatic complexity.
On the palate, the wine is crisp and delicately juicy, with notes of yellow fruit and nuts. The highly refined acidity lends the wine freshness, whilst chalky and almond-like nuances add extra depth. A very soft tannin structure gives the wine subtle grip. As the wine continues to open up, light red fruit notes, a hint of butter and, once again, a subtle smokiness come to the fore.
The ‘pure’ Müller-Thurgau has an elegant and harmonious style with a striking depth for a wine made from this grape. The combination of freshness, fine tannins, minerality and subtle spiciness makes it highly versatile for pairing with food. A lovely wine to accompany light fish dishes, poultry, vegetables and mild cheeses.
