The Perlage Blanc Extra Brut from Wein & Sektgut Hirschmüller is a refined Winzersekt made from Pinot Meunier derived from loess loam and Muschel limestone, the characteristic soils around Lauffen am Neckar. The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed as whole bunches to obtain a particularly bright, aromatic base compartment. Part of the base wine matures in a 500-litre wooden barrel, contributing to structure and subtle depth. The wine then undergoes classic bottle fermentation, with the second fermentation and 18-month maturation on yeast taking place entirely in the bottle, following the example of Champagne.
On the nose, this golden-coloured Sekt presents itself with an elegant and inviting bouquet of mirabel, Williams pear, melon and brioche. This combination of ripe fruit and delicate baking notes reflects both the grape and the long ageing on the lie. The aromatic profile is clean, layered and at the same time fresh, immediately showing the wine's premium character.
On the tongue, the Perlage Blanc Extra Brut shows a particularly fine, sparkling perlage. The palate is elegant, fruity and subtly spicy, with a wonderful balance between freshness, tension and roundness. Thanks to its dry style and refined structure, this Sekt is ideal as an aperitif, but also an excellent accompaniment to seafood, light fish dishes, sushi, tempura or creamy starters. A festive, artisanal sparkling wine that convincingly combines finesse and character.
