The 2022 Pinot Meunier Blanc de Noirs trocken is a special white wine created from red Pinot Meunier grapes grown from Muschel limestone soils in the vineyards of Lauffen am Neckar. An extremely gentle, whole bunch pressing produces a bright white must that retains its elegant, mineral character. Fermentation and maturation take place entirely in a 500-litre oak barrel, in which the wine matures on the fine lie for a year. This method ensures nuance, creaminess and a distinct finesse, without losing the wine's fresh character.
On the nose, the wine shows both spicy and fruity aromas with layered notes of apricot, Cantaloupe melon, pineapple, caramel and subtle toast. This aromatic profile immediately reveals the unique character of a Blanc de Noirs: the depth and structure of a red grape, combined with the freshness and brightness of a white vinification. The use of wood adds refined, warm accents and contributes to the round aromatic experience.
