Product description
Camino de la Torre from Viticultores de Lapuebla is a characterful and terroir-driven Rioja sourced from old vines from Lapuebla de Labarca. The vineyard, planted in 1923 and situated at around 545 metres altitude, produces concentrated grapes with a distinct expression of the chalky and clay-rich terroir.
The 100% Tempranillo is harvested by hand and carefully processed, with some of the grapes fermented as whole bunches to add extra complexity and structure. Fermentation takes place in open vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in 500-litre French oak barrels. The wine then matures for 14 months in wood and a further six months in bottle, adding depth and elegance.
In the glass, it shows a deep cherry red colour with purple nuances. The nose is complex and expressive, with aromas of black fruits such as blackberry and plum, complemented by floral notes of violets and spicy accents of wild herbs. On the palate, it is powerful but refined, with firm but ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a long, layered finish.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
