Product description
This Gewürztraminer from Alfio Nicolodi comes from three small plots in Sausenti, Maurenti and Valvaledi, located at 550 to 700 metres altitude in the municipality of Cembra. The vineyards were planted between 2002 and 2003 on clay or heavy soils with excellent sun exposure. The grapes are harvested by hand in small 20-kg crates and carefully selected in the vineyard, contributing to the high quality of the wine.
After harvesting, the grapes undergo a 48-hour skin maceration at low temperature, followed by gentle pressing and fermentation with selected yeasts at 14-16 °C. The wine then ages for 9 months on stainless steel and refines for a further 2 months in bottle. The result is an aromatic wine with a golden yellow colour, intensely fragrant with notes of rosehip, bacon and bacon, and a full, structured palate with a subtle almondy finish.
This wine is part of the "Cembrani Authored" project, which aims to preserve indigenous grape varieties and traditional growing methods in the Cembra Valley. This powerful and fragrant Gewürztraminer is excellent with dishes of Asian cuisine, spicy vegetable dishes or rich cheeses such as Munster or Taleggio. Serve at 12 °C for an optimal experience.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
