This Riesling Renano comes from historically restored vineyards in the municipality of Cembra, at altitudes between 500 and 750 metres above sea level. The vines, planted in 1988 according to the Guyot system, grow on soils of glacial origin with sand, gravel, clay and porphyry stone. Yields are between 70 and 80 q.li/ha. The grapes are harvested manually in small 20-kg boxes and carefully selected in the vineyard.
After gentle pressing, the must undergoes fermentation with selected yeasts at controlled temperatures (14-16 °C). Maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 9 months, followed by 3 months of bottle maturation. In the glass, this Riesling shows a straw yellow colour with green reflections. The aroma is floral and spicy, with vegetable and mineral notes. On the palate, it is fresh, tight and lively, with a medium body and pleasant acidity.
This Riesling Renano is particularly suitable as an accompaniment to refined dishes such as ceviche, fresh salads, seafood or light Asian dishes. Serve between 10-12 °C to fully express its lively character.
