Corvée's Àgole Pinot Nero is a characterful and refined red wine from the Cembra Valley in Trentino, from the vineyard plot overlooking the impressive panorama of the Lagorai mountain range and the Dolomites. This particular location, at an altitude of 486 metres and with a southern exposure, gives the wine its distinct terroir and elegance. The 'Àgole' plot is a true vantage point from which to understand and taste the soul of the valley's terrace vineyards.
In the glass, the Àgole Pinot Nero displays an eclectic style, in which fresh, youthful acidity is beautifully interwoven with a long and balanced flavour profile. The wine has a robust body with silky, dense tannins that provide structure and harmony. The aroma is intense and layered, with notes of red fruits such as blueberries, raspberries and maraschino cherries, subtly complemented by hints of violets, liquorice, truffle, cocoa and cloves.
The grapes are harvested manually in the last weeks of September. After destemming, fermentation takes place under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for 18 months on fine lie in 228-litre French oak pièces and then receives a further six months of bottle maturation before being released on the market. Àgole is a wine of level and depth, a true tribute to the craftsmanship and uniqueness of Val di Cembra.
