Corvàia Pinot Grigio by Corvée comes from a unique vineyard at high altitude: at a whopping 654 metres above sea level, this is Italy's highest-altitude Pinot Grigio. Located in Faver, in Trentino's Cembra Valley, the vines here benefit from perfect zonal exposure, constant light ventilation and the heat buffer of traditional dry stone walls. These natural conditions create an exceptional balance of power and finesse in the grapes.
Corvàia's vines root deeply in porphyry rock, giving the wine a distinct minerality and elegance. In the glass, this Pinot Grigio reveals aromas of ripe pear, peach and a subtle hint of incense. On the palate, the wine is complex, rich and fresh, with lively acidity and a remarkably long finish. The freshness and storage capacity make this wine particularly suitable for those looking for a characterful white wine with refinement.
After manual harvest in late September, the grapes are gently pressed and undergo controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The wine then matures for around eight months on the fine lees in used French tonneaux, followed by a further six months of bottle aging. Corvàia is a rare Pinot Grigio that perfectly translates the terroir of the high Alps into the glass.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
