Château Roquehort presents an elegant sweet Jurançon that owes its character to the hillside vineyards of Jean-Charles Lasserre. The terroir, consisting of clay, gravel and siliceous limestone, gives the wine its depth and refinement. The grapes - Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng - are hand-selected in their overripe state, carefully vinified using traditional methods and then aged for 10 months in stainless steel tanks.
In the glass, the wine shines straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is powerful and refined, with ripe aromas of lemon and pineapple, intertwined with notes of candied apricot. On the palate, it shows itself full and lively, with fruity freshness and rich structure merging into a harmonious finish that remains elegant and layered.
This Jurançon Doux is already delicious to drink now, but will continue to develop over the coming years. It is an excellent choice as an aperitif with toast with foie gras, pairs perfectly with dishes where sweet and savoury come together, and is excellent served with blue cheeses or fruity desserts.
