The Gewurztraminer Tradition 2021 from Alsace is a wine that immediately seduces with its expressive and aromatic character. As soon as you bring the glass to your nose, intense aromas of lychee, roses and exotic fruits unfold. This typical aromatic richness makes Gewurztraminer one of the most recognisable grape varieties in the region, and this wine allows that character to come into its own.
The grapes were harvested by hand on 15 October 2021 and then gently pneumatically pressed to preserve the quality of the fruit. During fermentation, the temperature is carefully controlled so that the aromatic finesse of the wine can develop optimally. The wine then matures on the fine lees for about eight months, which adds extra roundness, structure and a soft texture on the palate.
In the glass, the wine displays a bright golden yellow colour with silver reflections. The aroma is intense and seductive with clear notes of lychee, exotic fruit and floral accents. On the palate, it is soft and round, with a slight residual sweetness that is nicely balanced by fresh acidity. The elegant structure and aromatic length make this Gewurztraminer an ideal accompaniment to spicy dishes or strong cheeses.
