Product description
Château Les Tourelles 2019 - Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux AOC from Vignobles Darriet comes from a 10.5-hectare estate purchased in 1938 by sixth-generation winemaker Jean Darriet. The estate is located in the hilly countryside of Cadillac, also called the "Tuscany of Bordeaux", where the vineyards surrounding the château are planted on slopes with natural drainage.
The vineyards cover 8 hectares on clay-limestone soils and are on average 30 years old. The blend consists of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. After complete destemming, soaking takes three to four weeks, with alcoholic fermentation lasting about 10 days. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and 18 to 24 months of ageing in barriques, of which 30% are new oak and 70% are one-year-old barrels.
In the glass, the 2019 shows an expressive nose with intense fruit. On the palate, juicy notes of red cherry dominate, supported by a light, pure and persistent structure. The tannins are soft and refined, making the wine accessible, while the terroir also gives it clear storage potential. An elegant, characterful Bordeaux that pairs excellently with roast beef or classic French dishes.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
