Vignobles Mallard's Crémant de Bordeaux Brut is an icon: for more than 65 years, they have been making sparkling wines using the traditional method. The vineyards (2 hectares) are on argilo limestone soils, which provide tension and freshness in the base wines. This Brut is lively and elegant, with fine mousse and a sleek, refreshing profile - perfect as a festive aperitif with Bordeaux character.
The wine is made from 100% Muscadelle (blanc sec). Pressing is followed by cold stabilisation and temperature-controlled fermentation. Second fermentation in bottle gives the wine its mousse, after which it matures for 6 months using a method similar to Champagne. The ageing in stainless steel preserves freshness and aromatic precision.
In the glass, the Brut shows a bright, light golden colour with fine bubbles. The nose is fresh and lively; on the palate, the wine is tight and invigorating with an elegant, dry finish. A classic Crémant for any drinks or toast moment.
