Requiebro Chardonnay Edición Limitada is an exclusive Chardonnay of which only 1,000 numbered bottles have been produced. The grapes are grown at an altitude of 1,050 metres, where cool nights and a long growing season ensure exceptional freshness, concentration and minerality. The result is a gourmet wine with impressive depth and excellent ageing potential.
The wine ferments in French Bordeaux barrels and Jerez barrels made of French oak, after which it matures on the fine lees for eight months. It then rests in the bottle for at least twelve months, allowing all the aromas and textures to blend together completely. This meticulous vinification produces a Chardonnay in which wood, fruit and minerality are perfectly balanced.
In the glass, the wine displays a bright golden-yellow colour with golden highlights. The nose is intense and complex, with aromas of peach, baked apple, white fruit, citrus, quince, subtle floral notes, nuts and refined smoky undertones. The palate is powerful and creamy, with a full-bodied structure, lively acidity and a long, elegant finish in which ripe pineapple and a refined hint of bitterness linger for a long time. An excellent accompaniment to oily fish, refined shellfish and crustaceans, poultry, creamy risottos and gourmet Mediterranean dishes.
