Product description
The 2024 Grauburgunder trocken from Wein & Sektgut Hirschmüller comes from loess loam on Muschel limestone, a soil that gives the wine both freshness and a subtle minerality. The grapes are grown organically and partially fermented in a 500-litre oak barrel after gentle pressing. A small proportion of the wine then matures in used wood, while the bulk remains on fine lie in stainless steel. This combination of wood and steel creates an elegant balance between roundness, structure and fruity brightness.
On the nose, this Grauburgunder shows an intense aromatic profile with notes of Williams-Christ pear, melon, pineapple and a hint of hazelnut. It is an inviting and expressive bouquet that perfectly captures the wine's ripe, sunny style. On the tongue, it is full-bodied, juicy and fruit-driven, with a refined spiciness and a lively, fresh structure that gives it tension and length.
The persistent, soft finish makes this Grauburgunder versatile at the table. It goes well with fish dishes, poultry, creamy pasta dishes, salads with nuts and soft cheeses. Thanks to its juicy style and elegant breadth, it is also an ideal wine for summer evenings and informal moments when a supple, characterful glass of wine is desired.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
