The Malvasia Nera Salento IGP is a characterful red wine made from 100% Malvasia Nera, an indigenous grape variety that has belonged to the Torricella area of Salento for generations. The clay-rich soil of this sun-drenched area allows this grape to reach its full expression. The wine is vinified in pure form and underlines Malvasia Nera's true potential: a full-bodied, warm wine with structure as well as refinement.
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. The nose is rich and seductive, with pronounced aromas of cherry, blackberry, pomegranate and raspberry, subtly supported by a hint of Mediterranean spices. On the palate, the wine is full and round, with harmonious, velvety tannins and a fresh, persistent finish. Thanks to aging in stainless steel and bottle, it retains its purity and elegance while offering power and depth.
With an alcohol content of 14%, this Malvasia Nera is an ideal accompaniment to refined pasta dishes, soups, risottos, roasted meats and aged cheeses. For the best flavour experience, it is recommended to decant the wine and serve at a temperature of 16-18 °C. A wine that surprises, seduces and lingers.
