The Liaison is the mid-range wine in Enderle & Moll’s Pinot Noir range, but by no means the least impressive. Made from vines over 60 years old, sourced from some of the estate’s finest Pinot Noir plots, it offers a transparent and refined insight into what Pinot Noir in Baden can be.
Produced without pumping, racking or filtration. In the glass, the Liaison displays a transparent, bright cherry-red colour. The nose is understated and elegant: red and black fruit in the background, distinct Provençal cloves, meaty notes, pepper, nutty and slightly floral hints. On the palate, the fruit is ripe and juicy, predominantly red, with soft nutty and smoky aromas, Provençal herbs, mint and lavender-like flowers. In the background, mushrooms, bacon and parsley, followed by a noticeable hint of salt. Plenty of freshness and a very good, juicy finish with ethereal spice and fine tannic grip.
A wine for special moments at the table. It pairs excellently with duck, grilled lamb, mushroom dishes or mature soft cheeses. Serve at 14–16°C.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
