The 'Les Bruyères' Régnié from Château de Durette is an elegant and refined Beaujolais Cru that originated on the sandy hills of the plot of the same name, located in the heart of the appellation Régnié. The wine is made from 100% Gamay Noir à jus blanc, from vines that are between 50 and 75 years old. The subsoil consists of pink granite, which contributes to the wine's finesse and aromatic expression. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted, after which 75% are destemmed for traditional vinification. Maturation takes place in concrete tanks for eight months, which ensures a supple structure without overwhelming wood tones.
In the glass, the wine shows a glossy colour that ranges from cherry red to ruby red. The bouquet is seductively fruity with aromas of red berries such as redcurrant, blackcurrant and raspberry, subtly complemented by floral accents. This wine is known for its femininity and charm, with a delicate style and elegant mouth structure. Thanks to the balance between fruit, freshness and soft tannins, this is a very accessible wine that lends itself well to all kinds of occasions.
