Cantina Simoni's Müller Thurgau is a fresh and aromatic white wine originating in the picturesque Val di Cembra. A cross between Riesling Renano and Madeleine Royale, this grape is perfectly at home on the chalky and clayey soils of Palù di Giovo, at an altitude of 550 to 700 metres. Here, on slopes with a south- to south-west exposure, the grapes ripen optimally. The vines are between 10 and 30 years old and are grown according to the traditional pergola trentina system.
After manual harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine is then aged for six months on fine groins, contributing to extra texture and complexity. Before sale, the wine rests for at least another three to four months in bottle, allowing its fresh character to reach its full potential. In the glass, this Müller Thurgau presents itself with a light colour and enticing aromas of flowers and white fruit, supported by lively acidity and a subtly mineral finish.
This wine is ideal as an aperitif, but also goes perfectly with light starters, fish dishes, seafood or fresh summer salads. Serve the wine at a temperature of 8 to 10°C to fully experience its aromatic freshness.
