'Cotidie Rosso' IGP Calabria is a rosé wine that, despite its name - Latin for 'everyday' - behaves far from mundane. This refined cuvée is composed of a blend of indigenous and international grape varieties such as Magliocco, Gaglioppo, Calabrese, Merlot and Syrah. The grapes are sourced from three different vineyards, each with its own geographical location and unique soil characteristics, contributing to the wine's complexity and layering.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with a small proportion raised in wood, which gives the wine extra depth and softness. In the glass, the colour ranges from light cherry pink to malvarosa red, a shade that already betrays the wine's elegant style. In the nose, 'Cotidie Rosato' shows itself to be intense and lively, with scents of just-dried flowers, cherries, blood orange and pomegranate, subtly complemented by a fresh, menthol-like touch.
On the palate, this wine is supple, fresh and juicy, with a flavour profile that stays true to its scent. It is beautifully balanced, with the soft texture and fine acidity reinforcing each other. The finish is long and refined, with lingering freshness and elegant structure. Only 2,000 to 3,000 bottles of this expressive Calabrese are produced annually - a small-scale wine with great character, inviting attentive enjoyment.
