'Daimon Rosso' IGP Calabria is an elegant and layered red wine that, with its refinement and character, moves surprisingly close to the style of Burgundy. Made from a carefully composed blend of Gaglioppo, Greco Nero, Magliocco (75%) and other typical indigenous grape varieties (25%), from very small, poor sandy soils, this wine exudes purity and terroir. Full fermentation and aging take place in wood, which contributes to its complexity and structure.
In the glass, the wine shows bright and brilliant ruby red, with purple reflections. The nose opens floral with scents of rose, violet and wild blossoms, followed by a fruity expression of cherry, pomegranate and fine red berries. The whole is refined, inviting and subtle - never overdone, always balanced.
On the palate, the soft structure stands out, with nicely melded tannins and a fresh undertone that keeps it lively overall. The wine is harmonious and seductive, with a good body without getting heavy. 'Daimon Rosso' is a wine for those who love finesse and suppleness, wines that speak with a soft but convincing voice. Only 1,500 to 2,500 bottles are produced annually - a real find for lovers of understated power and refined southern elegance.
