'Appianum' Rosato IGP Calabria is a rosé that proudly conveys its Calabrese identity - refined, characterful and unexpectedly expressive. Made from several indigenous grape varieties sourced from small, sparse sandy soils, this wine shows how much depth and elegance a rosato can offer. Vinification and aging take place partly in stainless steel and partly in wood, depending on the vintage, which contributes to the balance between freshness and structure. Only 1,000 to 2,000 bottles are produced annually.
The wine shines in the glass with a bright, vibrant cherry-pink colour. The nose is delicate and complex, with floral nuances of red blossom, wilted roses and violets, subtly intertwined with aromas of red and white cherries, amarene, red currants and blueberries. A nose that invites attentive smelling and discovery.
On the palate, 'Appianum' Rosato shows itself to be rich and round, with a freshness that lifts the whole and a slight salty touch that recalls the grapes' origins. The palate perfectly reflects the fragrant palette, with a long, lingering finish that combines elegance and liveliness. A rosato that not only refreshes but also surprises - and lingers long in the memory.
