'Neostòs Rosso' IGP Calabria is a wine with depth, soul and distinct character. Made from Greco Nero, Guarnaccia Nera and Merlot - grapes sourced from two vineyards with different geographical locations and soils - this is a wine that does not rush. It is exclusively vinified and raised in wood, which gives it structure and storage potential, but also a striking elegance. A wine to be enjoyed now or aged with curiosity in the cellar for years to come.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with reflections tending towards purple and violet. The aroma is expansive and complex, changing subtly by vintage. Aromas of small red fruits, blackberries, forest floor and a hint of blood are supported by notes of violets, liquorice, smoke, orange peel and warm spices. A layered and lively nose that immediately excites you as a wine lover.
On the palette, 'Neostòs Rosso' shows itself to be generous, ripe and fresh at the same time. A wine that is mouth-filling, juicy and alive, with fine but present tannins intertwined with a creamy structure. Fruit richness, minerality and sheer power keep each other in perfect balance. The result is a red wine with authenticity, elegance and impressive length - a true expression of Calabria in its purest form. Only 4,000 to 5,000 bottles a year make this a valuable find.
