Product description
Boccapiega is a distinctive white wine from a specific vineyard of the same name, characterised by seabed soils rich in fossilised shellfish. This is a true ‘Cru’ — a single-vineyard wine that reflects the character of the grape and its unmistakable traits.
The Grechetto grapes are carefully cultivated and fermented in the Boccapiega vineyard. The winemaking process is characterised by cold maceration and processing in stainless steel. Following ageing on fine lees and a brief period in oak, the result is a wine with a refined, mineral nose and a pleasant, flavourful palate. In the glass, Boccapiega displays an intense and vibrant colour. The nose offers particularly complex yet fresh aromas, with mineral notes, floral and elegant fruity hints (white peach, Annurca apple, cedar bark). On the palate, the wine is lively and substantial yet never superficial, with a long, pleasant almond-like finish.
Boccapiega is an exceptional wine for many occasions — it stands out on its own but also pairs well with savoury dishes. It is at its best with stuffed pasta, fish or truffle-based pasta dishes, grilled fish or medium-aged cheeses.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
